Retail Banner Database

Banners are defined according to signage displayed on bottleshops around Australia. Un-bannered outlets are also included – these outlets have a financial arrangement with a banner group but do not display signage indicating this. Banner owners charge suppliers fees according to banner membership.

Banner data is received/obtained by a few methods – emailed from banner management, the banner’s own website or via press advertising. When checking the new records against the previous records, exceptions may occur. This could be due to one outlet being claimed as belonging to more than one banner. Conflicts and exceptions are resolved by the drinks association calling both banner co-ordinators.
