Meet the inspiring Aussie who founded an African school
The School of St Jude's founder Gemma Sisia will be guest speaker at a Mondo event next month.
St Jude’s provides a free, high-quality education to children in Tanzania who — due to poverty and social pressures — would otherwise be unlikely to complete their schooling.
Since 2002 the school has added 150 students each year and in 2015 the first senior class from The School of St Jude graduated from Form 6.
Sisia was born in the same country hospital as Mondo founder, Simone Allan, and St Jude's is one of the main charities that the recruitment consultancy supports. Mondo donates a percentage of each placement to the school.
Every year, Sisia makes an annual tour of Australia to spread the word about St Jude’s and catch up with supporters and Rotary groups who have been with her since the beginning.
Date: Friday, March 8
Address: Suite 7, 8 Bridge Street, Sydney
RSVP: By Monday, March 4 to email@example.com (attendance is free).
Mondo is an associate member of The Drinks Association.
