Fever-Tree appoints first Australian marketing manager

Fever-Tree has announced it is continuing to invest in local success with the recent appointment of its first Marketing Manager in Australia, Caroline Wood.

The announcement follows Andy Gaunt recently joining the company as General Manager for Australia and New Zealand. Gaunt has more than 20 years of beverage experience in the premium space and has been part of the Fever-Tree family for four years.

“Caroline brings years of marketing and brand experience in the drinks sector from Australia and overseas. This newly created role demonstrates our commitment to the Australian market and her strategic and creative thinking has been brought on board to help propel the next stage of local growth,” said Gaunt.

Wood was previously Marketing Manager at Casella Family Brands and has held Marketing Manager roles with companies including Lion and Pernod Ricard.

As we head into summer, Fever-Tree continues to broaden their focus to the wider mixer category, with a particular upcoming focus on gingers, with the recent introduction of two new Ginger Ale flavours, Smoky Ginger Ale and Spiced Orange Ginger Ale, designed to complement the flavours of aged spirits, and also the launch of two new seasonal tonics, Fever-Tree Refreshingly Light Cucumber Tonic and Refreshingly Light Clementine Tonic.

“Just as tonics have been helping drinkers discover the ever-growing world of gin, our ginger ale and beer is designed to explore the dark-spirit’s category,” Gaunt said. “So this summer, there’s a myriad of great drinking to be had across the spectrum and we are excited to be helping Australian’s drink better.”

Fever Tree’s recent success with Sydney’s first Gin and Tonic festival, which almost 6000 gin lovers fill Centennial Park, sees the brand investing in more locally owned events while continuing to collaborate and sponsor some of the country’s best food and drink occasions including the upcoming Margaret River Gourmet Escape in November.

Fever-Tree continues to expand its availability across the country. The 500ml Indian, Mediterranean and Light Tonics are now available in selected Coles supermarkets, in addition to being available nationally in all Woolworths stores, adding to existing availability across Dan Murphy’s, BWS, Vintage Cellars and leading pubs and bars.
