Event: meet the women of Australian distilling
The Australian Women in Distilling Association (AWDA) is holding an event this Friday featuring the trailblazing women of the Australian distilling industry.
For lovers of all things spirits, women in the distilling industry and those wanting to get into the industry, its a chance to chat about all things distillery related, sample some amazing spirits and get to know the women behind them.
The guest distillers who will be attending are Kristy Booth Lark from Killara Distillery, Lorelle Watson from Bellarine Distillery, Genise Hollingworth from Black Gate Distillery, and Samantha Stephani from Archie Rose.
Special guest will be Lyn Lark, the co-founder of Lark Distillery. The First Lady of Australian Distilling will discuss her her journey and the ups and downs associated with running a successful distillery and family home.
The AWDA has been established to promote, encourage, support and celebrate like-minded women in the Australian distilling industry. It promotes awareness of the industry to women looking to enter into the distilling community, women within these activities to those outside the distilling industry and the standards of best practice for the industry as a whole.
