Embrace Difference Vic Event: "Lobbying for your career"



The Victorian Chapter of the Drinks Association's Embrace Difference Council is holding a panel event: "Lobbying for Your Career".

The insightful and inspiring discussion will focus on how to advocate for your career. Katie Hodgson, Jeremy Goodale and Vicki Carter will share their thoughts on how to stand out during the recruitment process, create opportunities for career development and advancement, the role of mentors and sponsors and support post-parental leave.

Panellists will also discuss initiatives that drinks businesses have put in place to attract, develop and retain talent.

Katie Hodgson is the Chief People Officer at Treasury Wine Estates, and is responsible for TWE’s People strategy, building a high performing organisation and an inclusive, collaborative culture where people and results thrive. She is passionate about building coaching and change capability as enablers to unlock individual and business performance.

Jeremy Goodale is the General Manager Southern States at ALM, and has a passion for coaching, empowering and developing individuals to help them realise their full career potential. He has an established track record in the forming and development, of high performing teams across the beverage, liquor, fashion and sports industries.

Vicki Carter is the Regional Strategy & Projects Manager at Pernod Ricard Winemakers, and is responsible for the implementation of global HR projects and the development of the Pernod Ricard Winemakers People Strategy, this includes overseeing both Talent & Development and Diversity & Inclusion. Pernod Ricard Winemakers won the Gender Equity Award at the 2019 Drinks Awards for its Diversity strategy of which Vicki was instrumental in developing.

The Embrace Difference Council is an evolution of prior industry Councils Women in Drinks and Diversity & Inclusion at Drinks. The purpose of the Embrace Difference council is to establish the drinks industry as a destination of choice by facilitating awareness, challenging perceptions and building practices that attract, develop and retain diverse talent.

Cost: $35/person, includes a light breakfast
