Australia scores at the 2017 Sip Awards
Archie Rose Distilling has scooped a Platinum gong at the 2017 SIP Awards for its Signature Dry Gin.
The Sip Awards is the only international spirits competition that enlists consumers as judges.
"These awards are judged by consumers, rather than professionals, which makes them all the more special," Archie Rose notes.
"We remain steadfast in our goal of providing one of the most reliable measures of beverage quality rating in the world by delivering the opinions, thoughts, and voices of the consumers to the general public," Sip adds.
"We set out to create a fair competition by strategically choosing consumers from all demographics, conceiving an event that cuts to the core of public opinion as a starting point, rather than an afterthought, in branding and product development."
The 2017 Sip Awards hosted its largest blind tasting competition to date with 673 spirit brands and 118 consumer judges.
The other big winner in the Awards were a swag of ALDI's Australian spirits, which picked up Gold in the Gin, Vodka, Whiskey and Brandy Categories.
