Adam Ballesty appointed GM of Seedlip Asia Pacific
Former Diageo Australia CMO Adam Ballesty has been appointed General Manager of Seedlip Asia Pacific.
The move comes just five months after he joined Foxtel as Marketing Director. Ballesty was ranked 16th in the 2017 edition of CMO50 prior to commencing the position.
He will start his new role with the English start-up in April, as the non-alcohol spirit brand ramps up its presence in Australia and Asia.
The company counts Diageo as a minority investor and debuted in Australia in 2017. It is stocked by major retailers including David Jones and Dan Murphy's.
Seedlip markets itself as "the world's first distilled non-alcoholic spirit".
Ballesty told AdNews he was drawn to the values and sustainability ethos of the brand. He also noted that he moved from Foxtel for personal reasons after being offered the Seedlip role by founder and CEO Branson and his COO Emma Wykes.
"Both are incredible humans and I feel really lucky to work closely with both of them," Ballesty said.
"It’s in an industry I adore in a company whose values and principles are closely aligned to mine. I’m very excited to start the next exciting chapter of my career."
